Project Completion – CAT A Fit Out Works to the First Floor Offices at Connect 38

Handing back a project to a client is always a delight but handing back a project one week ahead of programme has allowed us to highlight the quality of the team and the right people that collaborate on all our projects here at AW Construction.

Delivering this project, covering some 12,000 sq ft, using our in-house team of electricians and fit out specialists certainly made life easier, especially as the Connect 38 building which nestles in the heart of Ashford’s Commercial Quarter is already occupied by several businesses. Minimising disruption to these parties was paramount and over the course of the fit out our teams started any noisy works early in the mornings. Utilising our own fleet of vehicles to remove site waste as well as to deliver materials aided in reducing on site traffic.

We relish a challenge or two here at AW and when a minor issue presented itself during this project, outside of our scope of works, the on-site team and Project Manager collaborated with the client and other stake holders to quickly overcome the problem, swiftly putting in place a solution so as not to delay the programme.

Some of the works:

• First fix electrics for power and lighting
• New Distribution Boards
• Installation of new HVAC system
• Improvements to existing perimeter bulkhead
• Next stage which will be completed over the next couple of weeks:
• Installation of new suspended ceiling
• 2nd Fix electrics
• Test and commission

There are many elements to any fit out or construction project. Having the right teams working on the right parts of a project at the correct time is a big part of what we offer here at AW Construction – something which our clients are beginning to realise more and more.
