Heading into my 9th year working within the rail industry, I started off as a general PTS op on various projects and am now acting as an assistant project manager.

During my time at AW Rail, I have obtained several operational tickets while gaining valuable on-site experience as well as mentoring from other members of staff to increase my knowledge. I now hold my COSS, SW, ES, Level A, LXA, PC, Level B Strapping, NSCD, SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Mental Health Awareness, SMSTS, and LEVEL 6 NVQ construction management.

I spent a few years as a site manager on our tunnel maintenance contract, along with culverts. I then started a position in the office assisting with labour supply, resourcing, scoping, and organising work. This led me down the path of wanting to pursue a role as in project management.

Since being in my role as an assistant project manager I have been running a number of projects, from re-active maintenance works to planning line blockages, station lighting upgrades, refurbishment works, and cladding removal, inspection, and installation.

I am also currently working towards obtaining my APM (PMQ).

In June 2024 I am taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge with some of the team here at AW Group.
