Our external works packages for both FHDC and DDC have been progressing well, despite the winter weather causing delays in completing certain aspects of the works. The determination of our operatives has seen several large projects completed recently.
Working with our clients is paramount in building these relationships and as part of our commitment to our contractual agreements and social commitments with these we recently carried out some works to a property within the council’s portfolio to assist a resident that was having difficulties in maintaining his property due to ill health.
The property had become covered in ivy and was causing a certain amount of damp penetration and difficulties in closing windows and doors leaving them vulnerable in their home. We quickly surveyed the property and at no cost to the client or tenant expediated the works necessary to remove the ivy, this included the erection of scaffold, removal of ivy, and a quick programme of full repointing, cleaning all gutters, windows and doors within a two week works programme.
Having completed the works the property now looks so much better not only for the tenant but also for their neighbours and the surrounding area.
