MARKS & SPENCER – STORE ENHANCEMENTS

We have completed a number of differing projects within M&S Stores with the main focus of these works being store reconfiguration. M&S have been remodelling stores to house specific food or retail sections across the UK, particularly their bakery offering for the public.

Completing these works in a live shopping environment was always going to be ca challenge, control of dust and noise, along with restrictions in being able to get materials to the site location meant that careful planning had to be put in place, working closely with shopping centre management staff, and M&S store staff.

We completed several works during the project:

• Erection of hoardingsRemoval of existing hot food counters
  Strip out of existing items back to shell
  1^st Fix M&E
  New flooring
  Stud Walling
  Tiling & other decorations
  2^nd Fix M&E
  Installation of FFE

Further to the successful completion of these projects we were engaged on other store modifications for M&S assisting with their roll out of creating concession units within stores for the installation of optician units for another party.

Again, these works were carried out within a live store environment so careful planning and attention to Health & Safety for our operatives was paramount as works were carried out overnight to reduce the impact on store opening hours and the inconvenience to the public.

Essentially, we provided a white box for the incoming concession unit:

• Hoarding
  Creation of new stud walls including wind posts
  Plastering, taping & jointing
  Flooring
  Decorating
  Suspended Ceiling
  M&E Works

All works carried out to a high standard and completed on time and within budget.
