We had the pleasure in undertaking the conversion from McColl’s Convenience Stores into Morrisons Daily’s across the UK as part of a national roll out program.

Throughout this rollout AW Construction take on a high level of responsibility, from planning, allocating resource, regular liaison with McColl’s management, site management and much more.

We always actively engage with the individual store managers to make sure that they are aware of the type of works being carried out, how they are going to be done and when. When stores are not temporarily closed as part of the refit process, we are more than capable of working within live stores, ensuring that safety of both store staff and more importantly people shopping are paramount.

The works we undertake vary from store to store, as each retail outlet is different, however the general theme remains the same.

• Initial scoping meeting
• Submit budget costs
• Confirm scope and associated costs
• Prestart site meeting
• Project management and site management
• Shop fitting, shop front spraying, Internal and external decorating, Builders works/carpentry/joinery, Flooring, suspended ceiling, installation of new bakeries, External works, Mechanical and Electrical including Fire alarms & ventilation/extraction
• Handover and attending to any additional works
• Submission of O&M’s

With over 100+ stores completed over past 18 months. Peaking at 4 stores being completed in one week shows the commitment to our client and the significance of this national rollout.

All this is achieved using our directly employed workforce which gives us the ability to react quickly to start dates and changes in works programmes, shop fitting is our speciality, and all projects are managed with the same commitment to quality for every client.
