Over the past few months we have, along with our client, been in the planning stage of delivering the final package of works at Stanstead. This forms part of the ongoing Stansted Tunnel Lighting project, where we have been entrusted with a range of critical upgrades.
These include, but are not limited to:
- The installation of PSP base
- Deep drainage and chambers
- Troughing
- Lighting column bases
- Walkways
- Surface Aco drainage
- Retaining walls and re-profiling embankments
- Palisade fencing along with both vehicle and pedestrian gates
- Concrete surfacing and pads
- DNO base and compound
- Connections from the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to the Principal Supply Point (PSP).
In addition to the above we also have the responsibility for all related drainage works across two separate sites.
Having successfully completed the work at Tye Green End, we are currently focused on the Copper End site. Here, our team is installing deep drainage runs, manhole chambers, and ACO drainage systems.
Looking ahead, we are scheduled to pour the concrete pads and install the retention tank during August 2024.
With these types of projects, and even with the best possible planning from all concerned there is inevitably some on site challenges, however, with the knowledge and expertise that our team has on the ground, coupled with the support from our HQ in Folkestone, and working closely with our client means that we have collaboratively addressed these issues effectively, ensuring the project remains on track for successful completion.
We currently have a team of 7-8 dedicated civil operatives (including foreman, machine drivers, and highly skilled PTS ops) handling the job daily overseen by both our Project Manager Robbie Robson and keeping a keen eye on costs our QS Ryan Nash
