We have successfully completed another project for our valued client, CML, despite the weather in the Heart of the Cotswolds trying its hardest to stop us!
Tarlton Road Under Bridge needed several refurbishments, straddling a road on the Swindon to Gloucester Yard Junction line, it required a full road closure for the duration of works. Our team of specialist brickwork/stonework operatives overseen by our Project Manager, Anthony Buckley, worked tirelessly throughout the programme. Given the pressures imposed by the local authority to re-open the road and working closely with our client we were able to complete these works one week ahead of schedule.
Works Included:
- Site Set Up/Road closure
- Vegetation removal
- Graffiti cleaning
- Moss removal from wing walls
- Re-casement works
- Plastic repairs
- Rebedding of coping stones
- Installation of new palisade fencing
- Refurbishment of chevrons
Once the works had been completed the road was opened as quickly as possible to allow free flow of traffic. With this also being part of a National Cycle Route we had to help cyclists navigate to the diverted route making sure that everyone stayed safe. It was a pleasure working in an area of such outstanding natural beauty.
This is just one of a number of bridges that we are currently working on in the South West of the country, and just one of a number that we are currently engaged upon across London and the South-east for the same client.
