PROJECT OVERVIEW

During the course of Weekend 52 and a fitting end to the rail year we provided one of our regular clients with a number of operatives to cover a staggering 60+ shifts to help enable some repairs to a rail bridge heading into London.

With our extensive workforce available to our client, we were able to fulfil their needs in providing a number of key operatives to carry out wheel timber works:

  • Skilled Civils ops to assist on track with timber prep and installation
  • Chainsaw ops for notching out / cutting timbers.
  • Points ops for switching points for machine movements
  • Site COSS’s for the workgroups involved undertaking briefings and holding isolation permits
  • Level A ES’s looking after length of worksite for all parties whom utilised the weekends possession
  • ES Assistants helping the Level A es with train movements / points movements and machine operations.
  • Mini Bus + Drivers for 52hr back to back durations running personnel from site base to site access / sac
  • 14 Level B strapping teams for set up of worksite applying short circuit straps and placing worksite markerboards.

 

The works began on Friday 22nd March and ran through  to the early hours of Monday morning (25th)  – undertaking the change of dilapidated and old timbers for new and installing new GRP deck.

Thanks to our team and to our Rail Manager, Jason Stokes, who are often called upon by our client for their professionalism and knowledge for being part of another great project.
