JAMES HOLNESS

I’ve had a varied career within property and construction, As an estate agent in East Dulwich and London Bridge, a forklift driver for Wickes, a steel fabricator for Parker Steel and a kitchen designer for Howdens. All providing me with skills and an understanding of construction from different points of view, I wanted to get involved with a real construction company.

I was lucky enough to take up a position here at AW in Folkestone, the town I live in and the town I intend to stay and build a life in. Having the opportunity to work with a company that works so closely with the community, it really feels like I can be involved in the local area. As well as keeping things close to home, being able to work on projects across the country is amazing to see the scope of our reach.

It’s early days for me working as a Junior Estimator, but with the team around me I hope to learn, develop, and excel. Seeing the breadth of works we’re involved on and the range of obstacles we’re able to overcome for our clients, it drives me to take everything I can from the experience they have to offer.

I’m excited about the future with AW and look forward to a long career.
