Rayleigh Culverts – AW Rail assisted in the grading off and laying of 700m length of track matting through a farmer’s field (recently cultivated and hit by some intense rain) to enable an access to the culvert entrance.
We had the job of installing temporary works in a confined space to provide enough support to the culvert to be able to cut, remove, breakout and tooth brickwork as required.
Our team of Jack Matthews, Jacob Roberts, Stuart Scutt, Josh hardman and Adam Clark have successfully and safely prepared one of two piles for reinstatement with LTR Welding Services Ltd assisting in cutting of the steel with their specialist training and equipment.
Whilst LTR Welding Services were cutting they would use an air fed mask and every morning upon entry our Site Supervisor conducts a gas test and will carefully monitor it during the day and perform a final assessment upon leaving the culvert.
We are just finishing the prep work at Rayleigh Culverts for the second pile. Works are progressing very well and in a very professional manner.
AW Rail Services have been delivering rail projects for several years right across the Rail & Construction sector.
Our extensive rail experience of over 120 years, combining decades of hands-on knowledge, providing building enhancements and maintenance solutions, improving infrastructure for passengers and operators, delivering major projects, and fulfilling long-term maintenance contracts really sets us apart.
Our services are varied from structural maintenance on tunnels, bridges, foot crossings, signal gantries, to station refurbishment, platform enhancements, civils works on and around the track, the mechanism management of lineside vegetation and further afield, painting of all types of structures and lastly but perhaps most importantly the provision of rail labour, not only supporting the projects we carry out for our projects but for the provision of labour to other clients.
