AW CONSTRUCTION – EV ENABLING WORKS
AW Construction – New Project Start – Givaudan – EV Enabling Works
We have started some enabling works for the installation of a suite of new EV charging stations at Givaudan’s site here in Ashford, Kent. Luckily, it’s just a short drive up the motorway from our HQ here in Folkestone for our team completing the works here.
We’ve made cracking progress in the short time on site, despite the ground conditions being a little tough on our mini digger and its operator. The soil has certainly compacted down over time and with the treeline very close to the works any moisture in the ground has long gone.
Site assessments, electrical surveys, and utility analysis has determined the optimal locations for these charging stations, along with a new onsite substation to provide sufficient power capacity. As we progress with our trenching works, we carry out regular surveys of the ground to negate any contact with services not identified in the original scope.
These works being carried out will certainly lay the foundations for a seamless and efficient EV charging network for staff and visitors to the Ashford site, supporting their transition to a cleaner transportation strategy.
