AW RAIL – HEALTH & SAFETY AUDITS
The wellbeing and safety of all our operatives is a paramount concern to us here at AW Rail. Those that work on and around the railway infrastructure face a range of hazards from working near moving trains, to handling heavy equipment and working at height during maintenance and construction activities.
At any time of year, the risks are there, but during these winter months adverse weather conditions can lead to human error and technical failures of equipment placing extra pressure on employees, clients, and other stakeholders. With the Christmas blockades fast approaching and the pressures to complete works on time during these line closures, we’ve spent the past few weeks out on site making sure our teams fully understand the implications of maintaining excellent health & safety management whilst at work.
Claire Enoch has recently joined us as our HSEQ Advisor and has been visiting our project sites speaking with our teams and clients, carrying out site audits, risk assessments and gaining a thorough understanding of the specialist works that we carry out here at AW Rail. From everyone across the AW Group – welcome onboard!
For all those who are working within this industry, no matter what part you may play, please stay safe, think about your colleagues, put forward suggestions and ideas, speak up if in doubt, and above all make sure “Everyone, Is Home Safe, Every Day!”
AW Rail Services have been delivering rail projects for several years right across the Rail & Construction sector.
Our extensive rail experience of over 120 years, combining decades of hands-on knowledge, providing building enhancements and maintenance solutions, improving infrastructure for passengers and operators, delivering major projects, and fulfilling long-term maintenance contracts really sets us apart.
Our services are varied from structural maintenance on tunnels, bridges, foot crossings, signal gantries, to station refurbishment, platform enhancements, civils works on and around the track, the mechanism management of lineside vegetation and further afield, painting of all types of structures and lastly but perhaps most importantly the provision of rail labour, not only supporting the projects we carry out for our projects but for the provision of labour to other clients.
