AW CONSTRUCTION – JUNIOR ESTIMATOR VACANCY
We are seeking to appoint a Junior Estimator to join our estimating team. The successful candidate would be based at our Folkestone office and would be supported by an experienced team.
Applicants must have some experience of estimating in the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review scopes of works
- Survey new projects
- Prepare accurate estimates by calculating costs for labour, plant and materials, and subcontractors – Various approaches for different clients
- Issue enquiries to subcontractors and manage incoming submissions.
- Raise tender queries and process responses.
- Maintain documentation associated with all estimates and update as needed
- Prepare estimates for Tender review prior to submission.
Individual requirements:
- Estimating experience
- Broad knowledge of construction
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Good level of Maths, English and IT, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Full UK Driving license
- Willingness to travel independently to surveys.
