AW GROUP – AW RACING SIDECAR TEAM
This weekend (21/22 Sept) will see our AW Racing Team competing at Brands Hatch in the final race of the season. They have had a great season and are currently sitting in second place behind Chris Wright and Paul Bailey on their F1 Ryde Outfit, who with their commanding points lead have already been crowned 2024 F1 Champions.
The racing season has had it’s ups and downs, mechanical breakdowns have seen the team working through the night to get the bike back on track for the following days racing, sidecar racing attracts a unique breed of racers and competitors who rally round when things go wrong.
With the final race at Brands Hatch they’ll be relishing in the unique combination of dips, cambers, fearsome corners and hills which goes to make it one of the world’s favourite racing circuits.
With practice day on the Friday ahead of a full weekend of racing featuring several classes of rider and machine, we hope that our team will find the perfect racing line minimising the corners to maximise the straights!
If you are heading to Brands Hatch this weekend, be sure to pop by and say “Hi” to the team and wish them luck. If you can’t make it to this weekends racing then The Lord of Lydden & Sidecar Burnup takes place at Lydden Circuit in October where we will also be taking part, come down, meet the team and have a great day! These are ideal family events as you can get up close and personnel with those that race and their machines.
