We were delighted to be able to sponsor a team and one of our vehicles from AW Construction and AW Rail to help with this years Christmas Tree collection, raising vital funds for Pilgrims Hospices in Canterbury to support the vital care of patients facing incurable illness in Kent.

Starting early on the Friday morning our planned routes took in some beautiful parts of East Kent stretching from Canterbury to Herne Bay collecting Christmas trees from doorsteps that people had donated fees to Pilgrims Hospice for collection.

Along with several other companies and businesses across Kent, our team of Gary, Roman and Greg ,  came together to collects as many trees as possible during the day, completing 4 busy rounds collecting 80 plus trees in total.

The support from the team at Pilgrims was amazing, making sure that everything ran smoothly and supporting the teams out on the road throughout the day. Chipping of the Christmas trees took place on site with teams dropping off a steady supply of trees throughout the day.

More collections from even more volunteers took place over the weekend of 11/12^th January covering more areas in East Kent, collecting hundreds of trees ready for recycling.

We’re delighted that we were able to support another community fundraising campaign here at AW Group and look forward to continuing this throughout 2025 and beyond.
