Site Manager – Commercial Construction

AW Construction Services Ltd is a well-established, multi-disciplined construction company based in Folkestone. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Site Manager to join our expanding team, delivering projects primarily within the local area.

This is a full-time role, generally Monday to Friday. However, given the nature of our work, some projects may operate seven days a week, providing regular overtime opportunities and the potential for a strong overall earning package.

We are looking for a confident, non-working Site Manager with proven experience across a range of commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for managing directly employed operatives and subcontractors, with a clear focus on quality, programme delivery, and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

The position can be offered on either a PAYE or self-employed basis. A company van may be provided if required, with the overall package adjusted accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall supervision and management of site activities, ensuring works are delivered in line with client specifications and programme requirements
• Maintaining and enforcing high standards of health and safety, including completion and management of all relevant documentation
• Reviewing drawings and scopes of work to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout construction
• Coordinating labour, materials, and plant to ensure efficient site operations
• Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures
• Proactively identifying, preventing, and resolving site issues
• Assessing, managing, and minimising project risks
• Contributing to our recycling and sustainable goals

Requirements:

• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (essential)
• Full UK driving licence
• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects
• Strong leadership skills with a professional, dependable approach on site

Working Site Manager – Commercial Construction

AW Construction Services Ltd is an established, multi-disciplined construction company based in Folkestone. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Working Site Manager to join our team, supporting commercial projects across London.

The role is primarily Monday to Friday; however, due to the nature of our works, projects may operate seven days per week. This provides regular opportunities for overtime and the potential to earn a competitive overall package. Candidates must be hardworking, dependable, and maintain a positive, professional attitude on site.

The position is available on either a PAYE or self-employed basis, with or without a company van. The remuneration package will be adjusted accordingly.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will have proven experience managing commercial construction projects, overseeing directly employed labour and subcontractors, and ensuring high standards of quality and health and safety are maintained at all times. Experience in strip-out, fit-out, and basic groundworks is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret drawings and scopes of works, ensuring correct implementation on site
• Maintain and enforce robust health and safety standards, including all required documentation
• Liaise daily with the AW Project Manager and provide accurate progress reports
• Plan and communicate labour, plant, and material requirements
• Have a keen interest in delivering sustainable goals through materials recycling

Essential Requirements

• Valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
