AW Construction had great delight in handing over another full refurbishment on an unoccupied unit in the heart of central London, Oxford Circus, for our client Smile Direct Club.
This had been in the planning stage for some time, and once given the green light, were able to react very quickly and put our skilled team members onto this project within 48 hours, whilst still retaining the integrity of other projects we have running across the UK.
Works on this project included strip out of existing floor finishes, sanitaryware, ceiling tiles, M&E services, demolition of stud walls that were taking up much needed reception space to produce a light and airy welcoming space.
The fit-out phase included forming of a new full height stud wall to square off the reception area, new flooring throughout, decorations, ceiling works, plumbing and electrics and installation of a new air conditioning system throughout. Using our logistics arm, we also moved Smile out of their existing premises, stored their furniture and other fixtures in our secure warehouse, and delivered back to the newly fitted space ready for opening the next day!
With a project based near Oxford Circus in central London they were many logistical hurdles faced with getting staff and materials on and off site every day, which made it more interesting to oversee and deliver! Our Project Managers along with many others back at out Folkestone HQ worked tirelessly and yet gain delivered a completed project ahead of programme, within budget and the transformation from old to new is amazing!
