JOE CRAWFORD

I oversee the commercial aspects of projects within AW Construction making sure they are properly managed and controlled and that commercial strategy is developed and delivered in accordance with the requirements of the business and our wide client base.

A robust manager and leader with a traditional construction ethos gained over 5 decades of diverse industry experience, with transferrable skills commercially and operationally. I strive to ensure that high standards of quality and stakeholder satisfaction are achieved.

I started my career with a PQS practice while completing my HNC on a day-release basis. This provided me with an excellent founding to build a career in Construction and I soon joined Trafalgar House Construction as a Project Quantity Surveyor.

Developing my career with stints at other Major Contractors such as Balfour Beatty, Shepherd Construction, Schal International, together with several medium and small Specialist Contractors, has ensured that my industry experience and knowledge base is both broad and varied; with projects at Lords Cricket Pavillion, Dior Bond Street and Thierry Henry’s London Residence being some of the highlights.

I live in Whitstable and outside of work I make the most of the outdoor life that offers. I enjoy spending time with my Wife and our dogs; particularly our touring caravan escapades. I also have three grown Sons that I meet up with as often as I can.
