This year we are proud to be supporting the wonderful floral displays that are adorning some of the railings around Hythe, if you are travelling into Waitrose from Folkestone you will see them as you turn off into the supermarket car park, they then reappear at the bridge on Stade Street and then continue down the A259 towards the Red Lion Pub – Hythe in Bloom.

During the summer months, especially in periods of dry weather, these displays require regular and consistent watering to stay healthy and vibrant. We’ve a dedicated team who are heading out early twice a week, sometimes three, depending on how hot it is to water these troughs to make sure they stay in their best floral condition for the enjoyment of all, they then head onto their work sites across the local area.

We’d like to thank Sally Chesters, organiser of Hythe in Bloom for making contact with us and offering us the chance to support this local project.

Overseen by our Project Manager Dan Jones who is motivating our operatives with his extensive experience in the gardening sector!

Here at AW Construction, we carry out a wide variety of projects within the private and public sector across the Folkestone district and beyond, so we hope our small contribution of watering these flowering troughs adds to the enjoyment of residents and visitors to Hythe alike.
