No matter where the railway may take you along the thousands of miles of track across the UK you are going to get some vegetation encroaching into areas that you don’t want it to be, causing potential safety issues.
Here at AW Rail, we have been providing staff to support HCE (Highly Critical Exam) surveys for our client across several sites. Focusing on vegetation clearance, our teams ensure thorough vegetation management, adherence to safety protocols all contributing to efficient and safe rail operations.
All our operatives come highly trained for the works that are required, many holding the relevant qualifications for use of different types of specialised equipment to remove the vegetation along with accreditation to use machinery to access the same.
These works often take place during unsocial hours, at night, during line blocks/closures so we provide fully competent staff all of whom have PTS, along side them we have been providing Safety Critical Staff (COSS etc) to ensure the smooth and safe running of each project.
This summer has seen rapid growth in vegetation with the warmer moist days providing ideal growing conditions. You can find out more details on the services that we can supply to regarding Vegetation Management here.
As Autumn and Winter approach us it’s worth considering that a mature tree could hold as many as 50,000 leaves, all waiting to drop and cause potential disruption to the rail services. Contact any of our team today and discuss your requirements with them, we offer both planned and reactive vegetation management services.
