When one door closes, another opens, and in this case, it couldn’t have been truer. Having been made redundant by one company here in Folkestone, I was lucky enough to have found AW Rail just around the corner from my previous employer.

With a background in HR, specialising in recruitment, and having gained my CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Human Resources, my place in the team here at AW Rail ensures I am kept busy every day. Providing administrative support to the rail manager, project and contract managers, and everyone else involved in the wide range of work we undertake.

Overseeing our workforce HR files and monitoring their training requirements to make sure they are compliant to work within the rail environment, arranging drug and alcohol tests along with medicals, fatigue monitoring, and more.

Liaising with other departments, compliance, payroll, and relevant department heads, maintaining Sentinel, and other essential safety-related areas, my ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment has made me a valued member of the team in a short period of time.
