AW Rail Services – CP7 Provision – If you are in the rail industry, or even outside of it, you will not have missed the recent announcement by Network Rail for the works delivery frameworks for Control Period 7 (CP7), 2024 to 2029. With these frameworks being divided into numerous categories we would like to offer our support to all those existing clients of AW Rail and indeed, any partner/stakeholder that has been awarded works under this significant framework – CP7.

During CP6, and even earlier in our 10 years of business we have worked on numerous projects on the Southern Renewals programme and further afield across the UK, providing a wide range of services and support for our clients.

It has been an interesting few weeks reading through Network Rails strategy for delivery of CP7 particularly the unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, through initiatives such as electrification, renewable energy adoption, and energy efficiency enhancements, much like the team here at AW Rail, Network Rail seeks to mitigate the ecological footprint of its rail operations across the UK.

It also places paramount importance of community engagement and stakeholder collaboration. Having spent the past 18 months fostering open dialogue, gaining feedback, and forging some very interesting collaborative partnerships, just like Network Rail, our goal here at AW Rail aims to ensure that our own initiatives resonate with the diverse needs and aspirations of local communities that we work in, driving everyone’s targets to reach net zero.

The team here at AW Rail are available to speak to you about any requirements that you may have in delivering these projects under the CP7 framework, including but not, limited too, the partial or whole renewal (which may include replacement, removal, major repair, major refurbishment or strengthening) of:

• Bridges (underbridges, overbridges, footbridges)

• Walls (boundary, retaining and acoustic barriers)
• Drainage including culverts
• Ancillary structures (e.g. foundations, support structures, access roads, fencing, gates, steps)
• Stations (assets contained within such as buildings, platforms, footbridges, train sheds, canopies, retaining walls, lifts and escalators)
• Light maintenance depots
• Long term maintenance delivery programmes
• Critical lineside buildings (signal boxes, route operating centres, relay rooms)
• Labour Suppy – both non and skilled operatives

We look forward to collaborating closely with our clients and supply chain partners in delivering cost effective solutions in assisting with the maintenance of the rail infrastructure across the various regions, but particularly here in the South and across London.

Many of you in the industry know our team well, but whilst we may be a young company, many of our senior management, directors and operatives on the ground have been involved within the rail industry for decades and have worked on significant rail projects within their time, bringing considerable knowledge to our team.
